Life begins at… whatever age you happen to be!
Tough luck if your around the 50 mark though. A study of 1000 over 50’s by Barclays found that nearly half of over 50’s would like to return to work – but they’re not given the option. A third believe their age is the reason they’re not hired. These people are tech-savvy, and a third say they have strong, transferable skills.
It’s being said that older people ‘dominate’ those not in employment (ehem – define ‘older’). They’re not training or education either. Which is a great pity, because keeping minds active is the surest way to offset various physical and mental declines.

I recently read of an agency in Oxford UK that specialises in more mature models – although they define them as anything over 35….

Don’t give up on life – no matter your age or skills. It’s said that the person who’ll live till 140 has been born. It’s not so much how many yours you notch up, it’s how you do it. A giant smile and joyful attitude to living and learning is definitely the secret to eternal youth.
